Standing amidst the grandeur of the Gladstone Library, it still retains the original gantry, and with such magnificent features still dominating the room, this is a stunning arena within which to host a more formal function or banquet.

Situated next to the Library, the Reading and Writing Room was once used as a lounge. Today, the elegance of this room and its balcony, overlooking Whitehall Gardens, combines with excellent natural daylight and superb views across the Thames to create a setting of timeless luxury, perfect for a wedding or a personal celebration.

Once the Smoking Room and then the Club's Billiard Room, The Whitehall Suite displays magnificent faience tiling amongst its original features. The Club was once a male-only fraternity; the viewing gallery allowed members ladies to watch events taking place. Situated at pavement level, this is an ideal conference suite offering easy access, state of the art technological facilities and natural daylight.

The River Room began life as the Ladies' Lounge and, displays all the architectural panache found elsewhere in the building. With its balcony affording views over the Thames and Whitehall Gardens, it is a superb setting for a private dinner, offering intimacy in style.

The Meston Suite has been generously endowed with natural daylight and is especially suited to training or small meetings. The Cellar, now used to house fine wines and rumoured to hide a secret passageway to the Ministry of Defence, offers an intriguing venue for small. The Royal Horseguards

The Royal Horseguards Hotel is situated in Whitehall Court, on land owned by the Crown, in an area with a very unique historical background. Most of Whitehall was land given to the Royal Family of Scotland by the English Crown about 800AD. It became known as Scotland Yard - the official residence of the Kings of Scotland in London. Scotland Yard was also the home of the Metropolitan Police Force between 1829 - 1966. During World War I, the eighth floor quarters were used by the Secret Services. During World War II the building housed the Russian Embassy, American Embassy and the Air Training Corps.

The Royal Horseguards Hotel has 280 bedrooms. It is proud to offer an extensive choice of Executive and Deluxe Rooms as well as four beautifully appointed Suites. Each room is fitted with a fast broadband connection point, trouser press, iron and ironing board, laptop- in-room safe, marble en-suite bathroom and tea-and-coffee-making facilities.
